Now Hiring: Part-Time Admin & Event Assistant (Santa Barbara)

We’re looking for a local admin and event assistant to join our creative team in Santa Barbara.

This role supports the artistic and operational flow behind Sarah Marie Picard’s projects — including Acting for Dancers, SMP Dance Company, and Picard Studios — blending artistry, organization, and heart.

About the Role
Approx. 10 hours per week plus occasional live events (Santa Barbara area).
Ideal for someone who’s organized, communicative, and thrives in both creative and logistical environments.
An artistic background is a plus — but a love for the arts, people, and details is essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with event coordination and on-site support during workshops and performances
• Manage administrative tasks: scheduling, inbox support, documents, and logistics
• Help organize materials and communications for programs and residencies
• Coordinate with vendors, venues, and creative collaborators
• Assist with occasional marketing or behind-the-scenes content organization

You Are
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable juggling logistics for live events
• Friendly, professional, and a clear communicator
• Excited to work in a creative, collaborative environment
• Located in Santa Barbara (with access to transportation)

Details
• Independent Contractor position
• Approx. 10 hours per week + event days as needed
• Hourly rate based on experience
• Start date — ASAP
