Acting for Dancers: Theatre Lab is a two-day immersive workshop in Santa Barbara (Oct 11–12, 2025) designed for pre-professional and professional dancers ready to deepen their artistry. Limited to just 15 participants, the Lab blends studio training with theatre-based exploration, guiding dancers to unlock storytelling, emotional intelligence, and authentic presence in performance.
Alongside founder Sarah Marie Picard, guest faculty include Dana Wilson (Justin Timberlake), Zoey Anderson (Ballet Jazz de Montréal), and Madison Kainoa Barnett (embodiment + meditation). Dancers will also take part in an Industry Q+A, gaining insight into what it means to grow not only technically, but as empowered and expressive artists.
